If you are particular about health (and you should be!), smoothies can be a great addition to your diet. It helps to also substitute soda and canned drinks for them. Smoothies are delicious, healthy and very fruity! Tropical smoothies add a little extra brightness and beach-inspiration to your day. Our Tropical Smoothie recipe can be made more creative with other fruits of your choice.

Inasmuch as fruits are really healthy, it’s also important to be careful with sugar since fruits contain a considerable amount of natural sugars. You can decide to leave out some of the fruits below if you want or add a few vegetables for a healthier smoothie.

Here’s the recipe for this fruity goodness:

INGREDIENTS
  • 1 Cup Frozen Mango (diced)
  • 1 Cup Frozen Pineapple (diced)
  • 1 Cup Frozen Banana (diced)
  • 1 Cup Coconut Milk/Water (use Coconut Milk if you want an extra creamy taste or substitute with Yoghurt)
  • 1/2 Cup Orange Juice
DIRECTIONS
  1. Add your liquids first (this makes your blender run smoothly) – orange juice and coconut milk/coconut water – in your blender.
  2. Then, place your frozen mangoes, pineapples and bananas; blend till completely smooth.
  3. Serve and enjoy!

P.S: You can add vegetables (Spinach, Cucumbers, Pumpkin leaves etc.) for a healthier recipe…and you wouldn’t even know it’s there!
